TMS expands ‘TMS Academy’ concept to Beijing and Shanghai

08 February 2010 – Having successfully implemented the roll-out of its ‘TMS Academy’ concept in Bangkok, Singapore and Sydney in recent months, TMS Asia Pacific is now poised to take the executive training concept into China. TMS CEO Andrew Chan said the decision to take the concept into China came as a result of direct enquiries from Beijing and Shanghai based senior management in the hospitality and tourism sector looking to provide their staff with comprehensive, qualification-based training programs as the regional economy continues to improve.

As a result, effective 10 March the company will commence a two-day Revenue Management Workshop in Shanghai.

Further workshops are scheduled in Shanghai in August and December while similar programs will be take place in Beijing in mid-March, August and December.

“Revenue management has become an integral part of a successful company’s competitive strategy. As a result, revenue management strategies have become increasingly complex as more and more hotel properties struggle to implement sustainable revenue management processes in order to remain competitive,” Mr Chan said.

“The intensive two-day workshop will provide professionals with an understanding of best practice revenue management processes and what it takes to create a winning revenue management culture throughout their organisations.”

Mr Chan said the two-day course was aimed at revenue management professionals, senior hotel management, directors of sales and marketing, business development staff, financial controllers and reservations professionals.

TMS has again partnered with international hospitality revenue management solutions supplier IDeaS to offer the programs.

Mr Chan said the ‘Academy’ concept having been firmly established in Australia, Singapore, Thailand and now China, the company was now actively looking at establishing the model in its other areas of operation.

These include other parts of Asia, the Middle East, the UK/Europe and North America.
